The GES Project

Advancing National Security through the Energy Transition.

The GES project investigates a new approach to governance that supports the rapid and sustainable transition to green energy while maximizing its national benefits.

Key Activities:

  1. Enhancing national security through the energy transition: We are investigating how the shift to green energy can strengthen national security across multiple dimensions (economic, energy, environmental, socio-political, and geo-strategic).

  2. Developing the Green Energy Statecraft framework: We are collaborating with government, industry, civil society, and research partners to create a robust governance model for the energy transition.

  3. Encouraging consultation and collaboration: We are exploring innovative methods of consultation to ensure the effective implementation of green energy statecraft.

  4. Overcoming challenges in energy governance: We are identifying barriers to a more ambitious, strategic approach and working to address them.

  5. Building a broad consensus: We are promoting non-partisan dialogue that brings together diverse stakeholders to support the energy transition.
